Interactive Notebook

Students will be required to keep an interactive notebook (INB) in science this year. We will be using a 100 page composition notebook - no spirals. The interactive notebook will become the student's own personalized science textbook which will include notes, vocabulary, handouts, and graded quizzes. It will be an excellent resource for them to map out their thoughts, observations and discoveries - it can even be utilized next year when reviewing 7th grade concepts in preparation for the STAAR Test. Students are urged to study their INB at least 15 minutes daily.

Interactive Notebook Rules

• No RIPPED OUT pages
• No DOODLING that doesn't relate to class
• Notebooks should only be used for ONE CLASS ONLY - SCIENCE
• DATE AND TITLE each page
• All entries must go into the TABLE OF CONTENTS
• BE COLORFUL AND LOVE YOUR NOTEBOOK
